The Arrows played their last match of 2013 against London Colney, and what a thriller it turned out to be. With no subs available this week we played a 2-2-2 formation, relying on our strikers to secure an early lead. They didn’t disappoint, a wonderful cross by our midfielder Elliot Scott, lead to an early goal by Jack Skinner.
Moments later Jack Skinner (2) skilled his way through the London Colney defence to nutmeg the goalie. London Colney played some good football, and in the second half gave our goalkeeper, Brayden Fifer, and opportunity to display how talented he is with a great display of saves. Skilful footwork from one of their strikers lead to a nice goal.
In the dying minutes, our defenders Dylan Berger and Yash Patel maintained their positions and our goalkeeper made an essential clearance that secured our 2-1 victory.
Man of the match this week is awarded to Elliot Scott for a superb display in midfield despite some pretty aggressive tackles/fouls against him.
