The almighty Arrows played at home against the strong Borehamwood Youth Crusaders.
Jack Skinner started as our stand-in goalie today, and within the first 5 minutes made 2 spectacular saves.
A collision inside the box left our boys conceding a penalty, our second stand-in goalie Tom Howarth stepped up to make the save, but the ball flew way over the cross bar.
Following a strong opening spell by the opposition, our boys stepped up a gear or two and a cross delivered by Yash Patel followed by a deflection allowed Elliot Scott (1) to secure a well-deserved goal.
The second half started; and within minutes Oli Bloom fired the ball on target which was punched out by the goalie, which was then instantly smashed into the back of the net by a very alert Jack Skinner. Yash patel made some vital clearances in defence. Our midfielders George Wainright and Elliot Scott passed well, and within the dying minutes released the ball just in time for Jack Skinner (2) to skilfully secure his second goal of the day. At the final whistle, the Arrows win 3-0. Man of the match this week goes to super diverse Jack Skinner for making some sensational saves as stand-in goalie, followed by scoring 2 goals as striker.
