The Arrows played at home to Borehamwood Youth Crusaders. The first half saw some very neat passing around the midfield, and an early shot by Louis Rosenberg nearly gave us the edge. Despite a lot of possesion on a very slippery surface, our strikers found it difficult to break through our oppositions defence.
Our defence held well, leaving our goalkeeper Brayden Fifer, with only a few shots to save.
The second half started and both teams upped their tempo, Elliot Scott and Jack Skinner in midfield made some great passes and some skilful footwork inside the box lead to George Wainwright (1) securing the lead for the Arrows. This was followed shortly after by a blatant handball inside the area, which lead to a Jack Skinner (1) well struck penalty.
The opposition fought back, and clawed a goal back from a well taken free kick. Yash Patel and Josh Levenstein delivered some well-rehearsed corners.
Dylan Berger (1) worked the ball from defence, through the midfield before launching a cracking left footed strike which lead to goal number 3.
A slight miscommunication in defence lead to us conceding a sloppy goal. At the final whistle The Arrows won 3-2 !
Man of the match this week goes to Dylan Berger for his strength in defence, and delivery of a super left footed strike in the back of the net.
