Open trials 2015-2016 season – U16s

For boys currently in Year 10 going into Year 11 in September 2015. Not 16 years old on 1st September 2015.

Trials will take place on Sunday 31st May 2015 starting at 10.00am and finishing at 12.00pm. Please arrive no later than 9.45am.

Playing in the Watford Friendly League with some measure of success and is now looking to improve its competitiveness in the league.

If selected for the team you will be required to attend practice sessions and be available for selection for league games to play on Sundays from the pre-season games in late August 2015 right through to the post-season tournaments ending in June/July 2016.

Training takes place with a fully qualified FA accredited coach on Astroturf at the Hertswood Centre in Borehamwood. Home games are played on grass at London Academy in Edgware.

Player registration to include all the training for the 2015/16 season has been set at £270 per player.

We are looking up strengthen the squad with players who are both committed to playing for the team as well as looking to improve their footballing skills. Players should expect to integrate into the team and play a full part in its further development.

Please remember to bring with you:

  1. shin pads (these are compulsory and you will not be allowed to play if you do not have them);
  2. shoes suitable for grass.

Aldenham FC Excel holds an FA Charter Standard which is awarded to football clubs who provide a high quality football experience. FA Charter Standard clubs are proven to be well run, sustainable, and importantly place importance on child protection, quality coaching and safety.

FA Charter Standard Clubs all have a trained Welfare Officer, CRB-checked volunteers, Emergency Aid-trained volunteers linked to each team, Respect programme sign-up, a Level One coach for each youth team, appropriate club administration in place and a volunteer co-ordinator.
